ENROLLMENT · TRIBAL CURRENCY SETUP

Stand up your
Nation's currency.

This is the actual spec. Eight sections — identity, token, treasury, governance, membership, merchants, brand, legal. Fill it in with your council. When it's done, we build it.

01

NATION IDENTITY

Who is launching this currency?

The legal and cultural identity behind the money. This is what shows up in the wallet header, the merchant terminal, and the chain explorer.

NATION NAME

e.g. Apsáalooke Nation

SHORT NAME / SLUG

Used in URLs and code. Lowercase, no spaces.

HOSTING TRIBAL ENTITY

Council, enterprise, foundation, or DBA that 'owns' the token

PRIMARY COUNCIL CONTACT

Name + role on the council or executive committee

TECHNICAL LIAISON

Person on your side who can pick up the phone when something breaks

02

TOKEN ECONOMICS

What is the money called, and how much exists?

The mechanics of your currency. Every nation launches with a supply of zero — new units are minted on-the-fly when members or merchants top up.

TOKEN NAME

Long-form. Shown in the wallet under the balance.

SYMBOL

3–6 chars. Shown next to amounts. ALL CAPS.

DECIMALS

Default 2 — 'cents-style' display, matches how people actually think about money. Expand up to 8 (chain max) if you need finer-grained units.

03

TREASURY & KEYS

Who holds the keys to the money?

The single most important decision. Whoever controls these keys controls the nation's money supply. Most nations launch with ImagineNation as custodian and migrate to council multisig later.

TREASURY CUSTODY MODEL

Single signer, multisig (e.g. 2-of-3), hardware-wallet multisig, or custodial.

KEY HOLDERS

Names and roles of every person holding a signing key.

HARDWARE

Hardware wallets used (Ledger, Trezor, Coldcard, etc.). One per key holder.

KEY RECOVERY PLAN

What happens if a key holder leaves, dies, or loses their device?

COLD STORAGE LOCATION

Physical storage of backup seeds. Geographically separated.

04

GOVERNANCE

Who decides what the treasury does?

Operational rules for moving money. Documented now, in plain English, before there is money to move.

ISSUANCE APPROVAL

Who must sign off before new tokens are minted?

SPENDING AUTHORITY

Per-transaction limit before extra approval kicks in.

MERCHANT PAYOUTS

Automated daily settlement, or batched manual approval?

EMERGENCY PAUSE

Who can halt the system if something goes wrong? How quickly?

TRANSPARENCY

What treasury data is public, what's council-only, what's internal-only?

05

MEMBERSHIP & WALLETS

Who gets a wallet, and how?

How members of the nation get onboarded into the currency. Most nations start with enrolled members only, then expand.

ELIGIBILITY

Enrolled members only? Residents? Employees of tribal enterprises?

IDENTITY VERIFICATION

Tribal ID, enrollment number, in-person verification, or self-service?

ONBOARDING CHANNEL

QR at council office, mailed cards, web signup, in-person event?

STARTER GRANT

Do new wallets receive an opening balance? How much?

CARD DISTRIBUTION

Tap-to-pay NFC cards: who prints, who distributes, what they look like.

06

MERCHANT ROLLOUT

Where can people spend it?

The currency only works if people can actually spend it. Pick a small, friendly pilot group first.

PILOT MERCHANTS

3–10 merchants for the first wave. Names and contacts.

TERMINALS NEEDED

How many Senraise terminals to ship for the pilot?

SETTLEMENT CURRENCY

Do merchants get paid in tokens, or auto-converted to USD?

PILOT START DATE

When does the first merchant accept the first tap?

NATION-WIDE LAUNCH

When does the pilot graduate to public launch?

07

BRAND & VOICE

What does it look and sound like?

Every nation should feel like itself, not a fork of another nation's app. Owned colors, owned typography, owned voice.

PRIMARY COLOR

Hex. Used on buttons, links, balance.

ACCENT COLOR

Hex. Used on highlights and active states.

HERO HEADLINE

The one line on the wallet/landing that explains what this is.

HERO SUBHEAD

One sentence under the headline.

LOGO / MARK

Provided as SVG. If none, we'll set up a clean wordmark.

WALLET NAME

What members call the app when they tell their cousin about it.

08

LEGAL & COMPLIANCE

What did the lawyers say?

Sovereign doesn't mean unprepared. A short checklist of what's been reviewed and by whom.

LEGAL REVIEW

Outside counsel who reviewed the token structure.

TRIBAL COUNCIL RESOLUTION

Resolution number authorizing the launch. Need a starting point? See our sample resolution.

SERVICES AGREEMENT

ImagineNation LLC services agreement covering custody, automated treasury, and reporting. See our draft services agreement — for your counsel to review.

TAX TREATMENT

How members treat balances and transactions for tax purposes.

REPORTING OBLIGATIONS

Any reporting to BIA, state, or federal entities.

TERMS OF SERVICE

Member-facing terms. Linked from the wallet.
