CFpingPRO™ keeps tabs on the health of your host server
even when you're in a shared server environment hosting at a remote location.
PingPRO is an application that periodically requests html and server generated
pages from your host machine and displays returns on your desktop. It computes
time differences, keeps a continous record of results, and writes the
data to a daily log file.
Originally intended to monitor the health of a ColdFusion engine, pingPRO
is easilly modified to monitor the response of any server generated pages such
as ASP, CGI, and PHP. Using a combination of served application pages and
self hosted request pages, PingPRO is an economical alternative to much more
expensive monitoring schemes.

parameters template that lets you check operating system and CF Engine versions,
grades, and service packs in use at your site. It also shows numerous CGI
parameters and can be modified for checking other server engines.

NOTE: CFpingPRO is designed to
work with Microsoft Internet Explorer browsers later than IE5.0. Data logging
requires that your browser settings under Tools>Internet Options>Security>Internet
Custom Level>ActiveX Controls be set to Enable or Prompt. The "Run ActiveX"
setting must be enabled to avoid a prompt on every log file write.
